Kwei Chaw Moutai
As its name already suggests, Kwei Chow Moutai specialises in producing Moutai, a brand of Chinese baijiu. It was named as the national liquor in 1951 and remains one of China’s most popular spirits. Prices for the drink have gone up to USD$200 a bottle making it the bribe of choice to high officials. It is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and is owned by Guizhou Provincial People’s Government.
Thai Beverage
Listed on our very own Singapore Stock Exchange, Thai Bev is one of South East Asia’s largest beverage companies. It is well known for its Chang Beer and acquisition of F&N.
Constellation Brands
Perhaps most well known for its exportation of Corona from Mexico to the United States, Constellation Brands is one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies. Part of the Fortune 500, the NYSE listed company is also a component of the S&P 500.
Suntory Holdings
Listed on the Tokyo stock exchange Suntory Holdings is a Japanese brewing and distilling company group that is famous for producing well known (and very expensive) whiskies such as Yamazaki, Hibiki, and Hakushu. It has also acquired brands such as Bowmore and Jim Beam and expanded its business into non-alcoholic beverages.
Carlsberg
Probably the best beer in the world.

Pernord Ricard
Pernord Ricard is a French Company that emerged from the Absinthe ban. The Pernord Fils company, which produced absinthe, created Pernord Ricard after the ban was implemented. Its portfolio includes Chivas Regal, Absolut Vodka, and Martell. Listed on the EuroNext NV, it is part of France’s CAC 40.
Diageo
Diageo is a British multinational alcoholic beverages company that is listed on the London Stock Exchange. Its brands include Johnnie Walker, Bailey’s, Smirnoff, and Guiness. In fact, they have more than 200 brands under its portfolio and was the largest distiller until Maotai took over in 2017.
Asahi & Kirin
Asahi & Kirin are both beer brands and are both listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Kirin also possesses many other holdings that should be checked out if you do plan to buy its shares. These 2 are the third and fourth largest alcoholic beverage companies by sales.
Heineken
As you probably already know, Heineken is a Dutch company that specialises in the production of beer. It is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
Anheuser Busch Inbev
Anheuser Busch Inbev is a Belgian beverage and brewing company that has over 500 brands of beer in its portfolio including Budweiser, Stella Artois, and Corona (Globally). Anheuser Busch Inbev is listed on the EuroNext and is the largest alcoholic beverage company in terms of Sales.
